What is this test
This assay is useful in the diagnosis of Pheochromocytoma and Paraganglioma. It is also used as an auxiliary test to Urine Vanil Mandelic Acid & Homovanilic Acid determination in the diagnosis and follow-up of patients with Neuroblastoma and related tumors. Plasma Metanephrine is the preferred test for the diagnosis of Pheochromocytoma. It is also useful for evaluating patients with Autonomic dysfunction / failure or Autonomic neuropathy.
