Doppler ultrasound- Breast , also called color Doppler ultrasonography, is a special ultrasound technique that allows the physician to see and evaluate blood flow in the breasts.

Why is DOPPLER - BREAST done ?

Doppler breast is done to detect whether a lump in a breast is a cyst(a fluid-filled sac) or a solid mass, which might be cancer. It can also help pinpoint the position of a tumor which guides the doctor to the exact place to insert a needle during a biopsy, if needed.

Why is DOPPLER - BREAST ?

DOPPLER - BREAST uses sound waves to produce pictures of the internal structures of the breast. It is primarily used to help diagnose breast lumps or other abnormalities your doctor may have found during a physical exam, mammogram or breast MRI. Ultrasound is safe, noninvasive and does not use radiation.
