A Doppler ultrasound, also called a Color Doppler test is a non-invasive test that can be used to estimate blood flow through blood vessels. This is used to check for presence of blood clots and venous insufficiency in the inferior vena cava and the iliac veins.
Why is DOPPLER - IVC/ILIAC VENOUS done ?
A vascular ultrasound of the inferior vena cava and iliac veins is an exam to check the major veins in your abdomen and pelvis for any evidence of obstruction or blood clots.
