ULTRASOUND - PELVIS

A Pelvic Ultrasound is a non-invasive diagnostic exam that produces images that are used to assess organs and structures within the female pelvis. A pelvic ultrasound allows quick visualization of the female pelvic organs and structures including the uterus, cervix, vagina, fallopian tubes and ovaries.

CCO:
No food intake for atleast 8 hours before the Ultrasound scan is done.Ask the patient if any barium studies were done in the past 2days. Ask the patient to drink atleast 1-2 litres of water one hour before the test.Patient must have full bladder before the test is performed.Patient should not empty their bladder before the test is completed.

SLAs:
For Ultrasound test scheduled before 2 PM eConsultation will be scheduled before 9 PM same day and the physical reports to be delivered by 10 PM same day
For Ultrasound test scheduled after 2 PM eConsultation to start from 8 AM next day and the physical reports to be delivered starting from 8 AM next day

Ultrasound Pelvis allows quick visualization of the female pelvic organs and structures including the uterus, cervix, vagina, Fallopian tubes and ovaries. Abnormality in the morphology, size and presence of growths and tumors can be easily found out using an ultrasound.
